The Digital Wedding Photography Experts

As a modern digital wedding photography company based in Seattle, WA, RoseStone Photo has been on the cutting-edge of digital photographic technology for many years.

Nowdays everyone has a digital camera, how will the images I receive from Ros eStone Photo be special?

Professional image quality is a combination of many factors. The photographer's eye for composition, and ability to recognize and use natural light are but two components. In addition to using high quality professional equipment, it is important the photographer have the knowledge to expose and process digital files to perfection. RoseStone Photo shoots RAW files with the latest digital SLR cameras using professional lenses.

What is the difference between shooting RAW and JPG?

There is a tremendous difference between RAW and JPG files. RAW files are more akin to unprocessed negatives from the days of film. The photographer has many choices in the development or image processing phase that affect the image density and clarity. Taking photographs in JPG mode is convenient because the whole development/processing step is unnecessary. It also means that adjustments made to JPG actually throw away pixel information, resulting in images that may lack the tonal range and clarity of the professional RAW file shooting technique.

Candid photography, real moments

Weddings are full of rich photographic opportunities; we love working with real people, capturing their individuality in a beautiful and natural way. While pho tographing a wedding, we are observers and documenters, not directors. This way, our clients s ee not only the images they expect, but also the unexpected. We document the real moments, atmosphere and details that convey the mood and story of the event.
